Admission Process

We are excited about your interest in joining our vibrant academic community. Whether you’re just completing high school or looking to advance your education, our flexible intakes and supportive learning environment are designed to help you succeed.

When to Apply

At Riara University, admissions are open throughout the year. However, students are generally expected to report at the beginning of each academic session in, January, May and September.

How to Apply

All applicants must complete and submit the official application form to the Academic Registrar’s Office. You can obtain the form from our website or pick one up from our Admissions Office.

Required Documents

Please attach the following supporting documents to your application form:

  • Copies of academic certificates (High School)
  • Copies of academic certificates from accredited institutions (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree)
  • One (1) recent passport-size photograph
  • Copy of National ID or Passport
    (If under 18 or ID is pending, submit a waiting card or your parent’s/guardian’s ID instead)
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee of Kshs. 2,000

Application Review Process

Once we receive your application:

  1. The Registrar’s Office will assess your qualifications.

  2. Your application will be reviewed in consultation with the relevant School/Department.

  3. In cases where additional verification is needed, we may refer your qualifications to government agencies such as:

    • The Commission for University Education (CUE)

    • The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)

Admission and Verification

If your application is successful:

  1. You will receive a provisional admission letter for a period of one semester, pending further verification.
  2. The original documents will be verified on a specific date indicated in the admission letter.

Orientation

All new students are required to attend an Orientation Program. This session introduces you to:

  1. Academic policies and expectations
  2. Campus resources and support services
  3. Student life at Riara University

Attendance is mandatory for all new students.
