The Riara Law School mission is to nurture transformative advocates of justice and promote vibrant legal scholarship through a rigorous interdisciplinary program informed by African and global realities.

Established in 2012, the Riara Law School has carved a niche as one of the leading Law Schools in Kenya focusing on providing high-quality and innovative legal education to prepare lawyers to anticipate and tackle the challenges and opportunities of the 21st Century. The RLS Advantage includes learning from world-class faculty, trained at some of the very best institutions around the world; and a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15. Influenced by the legacy of the founders, Riara’s curriculum has been expertly crafted to nurture a problem-solving lawyer who is aware of the social, economic and political context within which the law exists and one who understands and crafts solutions for Africa and beyond. The bold pedagogy that is a part of the Riara experience will push students to discover and learn on their own, embracing methodologies such as case studies, the Socratic Method, `cold calling’, and critical thinking.

Our state-of-the-art moot courtroom, generous library resources, extensive ICT infrastructure as well as a rigorous legal writing program are just some of the reasons we have received accreditation by the Council of Legal Education. We remain committed to setting the bar in legal education.
